Since I've see people are kinda disorientated by this site, this will be a guide for this site.
LOGIN/REGISTER
Here you can find the Login and Register pages. You are now logged in as a guest, but I recommend making an account if you want to use this site more often, because that allows you to do and see more stuff like send messages and get messages when there is a new post posted etc.
SIDEBAR
You can find the "About" as first in the sidebar. This is just a short explanation on the blog. Underneath that you will find News about the blog.
Underneath News you will find Links in the links you will find some quick links to important topics/threads.
Beneath that you can find the shout box. The shout box is sort of a chatbox. You use it to talk with everyone on the site and ask things in general and/or about your RPs.
BOARDS
There are two main boards, the board General and the board RPG. I will start with explaining the General board.
Here you can find the general board, I will explain what the subboards on this board mean:
Off topic: here you can post and find anything that doesn't have a particular board. For example there now is a list of all RPGs on that board which I put on the Off Topic board because it doesn't belong anywhere else.
~
Newbies: on the newbies board you can find things like "introduce yourself" and "newbies buddy" this is if you are new for this site. So if you just signed up, check this out!
~
News and information: this is for the general things like rules, information about how the site works, new things on the site etc.
~
Suggestions: if you have things you would like to add to this site, you can leave a post on the board "suggestions". Of course you can also just message me, but on the suggestions board you can get tips and opinions from others on this site.
~
Complaints: this works actually the same as suggestions. You can always tell me when there is something that isn't working properly or anything, but you can also leave it on the complaints board.
~
Questions: this board is for any questions you have on the site.
Now we are going to talk about the actual RPG board. On the RPG board you will find several subboards. First of all it's good to know how the fuck an RPG works, well I made a topic/thread about that which you can find here.
On the RPG board you can find several subboards like I said and each subboard holds certain RPG's.
For example you have the crossover board which is for RPG that are related to two or more fandoms, you also have the non-fandom board for - like the name already tells you - rpgs that are related to no fandom and you came up with yourself and beside that you have just the fandom boards (if you want a new board for another sub categorie you can just send me a message).
Last but not least you have the board "ideas" which is if you have an idea but you haven't sorted out all the details yet or you want to know if anyone is interested, you can post that here.
NOTE: The Yin and Yang signs are explained in the section "legend"
SUBBOARD/TOPICS/THREADS
I'm just going to take a RP on the crossover board to show you how it's done.
This is what you see when you click on the board crossover.
Play Topics: here you can find where the actual RP are played.
Out of Character: this is were the ooc happens, which are the conversations around the RP.
Role topic: here you can find the RPs that still need people to participate and here you can also fill in your roles.
So now we are going to use an RP as example.
So you clicked on the Role Topic board because you want to join a new RP in the Crossover section and you find this RP named "International High [Introduction RPG] • [RT]".
The first part is just the name and the RT means Role Topic.
Now there is only one RP here, but you can open your crossover RPs here whenever you want. Okay lets move on.
Here you can find by who the RP topic was created, how many replies there are, how many views there are and when and by who was last posted. It's just some interesting information that will be on every topic/thread that is made.
Again underneath that all you can find a legend. The Yin and Yang signs will change and on the legend section you can just find what it means.
When you've clicked on the topic/thread this is what you get. With red I've just shown you where you can find option like reply on the topic/thread or quote it and when you've made it yourself you will also find the button "edit" there.
When you scroll down you can see how most RPs will be builded up.
1. A picture like you saw in the last pic.
2. A short description on what the RP storyline is.
3. A list of all the people that have joined so far.
4. A list of what you should fill in for your role.
5. Mostly a set of rules but you can't find it on this topic.
6. Links to other topics if they are made yet.
When you want to open a new RP and you have never done it yet: steal. I know stealing is bad, but you can just go to another RP and look how they did it. To be honest, that's how I've always done it and as long as you just use it for inspiration and not copy and past the whole topic/threat there is not a problem with it.
As you scroll down the bottom you can find another section to reply you can just choose for a quick reply without a custom layout but if you click on the reply button you can change a custom layout.
Now lets take a look at the replies. When something is posted you have a view options. You can change your posts - not others only moderators can do that - and you can quote it, which is also showed in the picture.
When you hover over the grey thing you can see someone's mini profile.
I think this is clear, at least I hope so. If you have any more questions or you want to have more detailed explanations just leave it down below in the comments and I will answer them as soon as possible.
