Impius Academy, with its iron gates, magnificent castle-like buildings and exclusive reputation, you’d guess it’s one of those typical snobby rich kids schools, but it’s so much more than that. Of course, the majority of the students are stuck up, but that’s not the most special thing about them, no, the thing that makes them stand out is that they’re vampires. High and Low Class vampires come from all around the globe to the only academy fit to their needs. But, even though this seems like the perfect school for them, it has the typical high school drama and intrigue, but that’s not all.. A recent drama has grabbed a hold on the students, one of their own dead, with a message alongside the body saying: “Who’s next?” Welcome to Impius Academy, will you be able to survive?

SCHOOL RULES
• No skipping classes! You have to attend all the classes we assigned to you, if you don’t your parents and/or guardian will be contacted.
• Illegal and dangerous objects and substances are not allowed on school grounds.
• Proper dressing is a must. No skirts above the knees, no shorts and no bare shoulders. Except for party-like events.
• Biting humans off and on school grounds will be punished. We have loads of blood in our fridges.
• Respect your fellow student and resolve conflict in a peaceful manner.
• Bullying, fighting, discriminating and threatening are not allowed.
• As a Low Class student, if you want to go hunting for animals, you need the permission of a superior.
• You need permission of a superior in any case you leave the school grounds.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE VAMPIRES
Bitten vampires stop aging when they’re bitten, born vampires age up until 18. (Seriously, some of the teachers here might look like they’re a dateable age, but in reality, these people are OLD.) Each vampire has the
‘typical’ powers, although some of these are stronger with the High Class vamps: super strength and speed, enhanced reflexes, invulnerability to everything but fire and other vampires and of course, immortality. Vampires drink blood, obviously. They can eat other substances, but this will only make them very sick. They can, on the other side, be influenced by drugs and alcohol, only this would take a higher dose then humans. Walking in the daylight is possible for both born and bitten vampires. Born vamps tend to get more annoyed by this, though, seeing as they haven’t felt the need to live during daytime all their life.

• High Class
High Class vampires are commonly considered the most powerful ones. They’re born, not bitten, and they grow up like human beings until they’re eighteen, that’s when time just freezes them. (Imagine that, having a grand-grand-grand-mother who looks exactly your age) Close to all of them come from long bloodlines, some running back to even Ancient Rome. You’ll easily recognize them, most of the time they wear expensive designer clothing and they’ll be screaming: “Do you know who I am?!” Out of the two, they are the fastest, the strongest and they have the best senses, but at the same time, they are also the most vulnerable ones.
You see, as most vampires do, they crave human blood, but unlike the Low Class, they can’t go without it for more than two days, it will drain them of their power completely, leaving them weak. They have an animal-like hunger, it’s not like the Low Class, it’ll literally feel as if they’re starving, attacking if they even notice the slightest drop of blood. Unlike the others, they also can’t survive on animal blood, well, they can, but they’d be incredibly ill, and if they consume too much of it, it’ll completely poison their system and in the worst cases, this can even be lethal.
However, born vampires do have a special ability their bitten counterparts don’t. This is the very much frowned upon, but very useful skill of compulsion. Most vampires detest the use of compulsion, they feel as if they’re taking away freedom from others, but to some it’s a very handy tool to get what they desire. Each and every one of them is able to perform it at a certain level, but because it’s so highly criticized and the possibility exist that it drives you nuts, most of them don’t even bothered to get skilled in it. There are a few who do, and those are usually the ones you have to watch out for. Just kidding.
(No, but really.)
High Class can be enrolled from the age of 14 until they stop aging. They will be given the basic education and of course, the special lessons given to vampires. Like how to control your strength, speed and most of all, bloodlust around humans.

• Low Class
The Low Class, or, to put it simply, bitten vampires, are a lot more complicated. The way they get turned is usually the result of one vampire having a bit too big of an appetite and draining them of their blood completely, then, if they’re lucky, a vampire, this doesn’t have to be the same one, has to feed them some of their blood. A few hours later, you’re as good as new. But also dead. The undead kind of dead. If they don’t get proper mentoring when bitten, they tend to.. well, just imagine what you’d do if you found out that you lost your heartbeat. Because teenagers usually have stronger emotions, they have the worst reaction to this. If you go rogue after being bitten, you get a choice. If you want to live, you are forced to attend the academy and are put under strict surveillance. If you resist, you are killed instantly. However, Low Class is far more capable of learning how to handle their thirst for blood. You would probably expect them to be worse in this, but it’s true. They just have some trouble in the beginning, when the thirst is completely new to them. Low Class vampires can approximately go ten days without any kind of blood before they feel any of the nasty side effects. They can also choose to be ‘vegetarians’, which means they refuse to feed on human blood and usually ask the permission of the school to go hunting animals in their spare time – if, of course, they clean up the mess they make in the forest surrounding the school, for obvious reasons. Low Class vampires aren’t as sensitive to sunlight as High Class vampires are. They are like regular human beings in this aspect. This is mostly because they’ve been brought up in this light, and they’re still used to it. Just like the High Classers are immune to disease and heal quicker than humans, so do the Low Class vampires. They are also less resistant to the compulsion of High Class vampires than everyone else, which has brought up some bad blood in the past between the two groups. If you are bitten between the ages 14 to 18, the years when you are most likely to have stronger emotions to the change, you will be contacted by the vampire council. Since nearly every single one of them will at least make one victim after being changed, most of them are forced to attend the school, but if you manage to not kill someone, you can also choose not to attend the school. If you then reconsider, you can still choose to attend until five years after you’ve been changed.

• The Council:
The High-Council consists of twelve, of course High Class, vampires who have ruled the vampire world for over hundreds of years. They track down vampires who kill people to feed on their blood, since this is strictly forbidden. You ought to feed on the blood you get supplied each two weeks or go hunting for animals in case you’re Low Class. It can’t be afforded to get exposed to the human world. The Lower-Council are the ones that run the school.

THE HOUSES
Each vampire gets put into a House. Based on the fact if your Low Class or High Class, where your roots lie and what status your family has and the reputation you as a person have, you will be assigned a House. These are the four Houses: (In the RPG, these will be decided FOR you. As soon as your role is done, either winchester or I, Tolkien, will assigng you a House)

• Traicere, House of the Elite
Traicere consists out of only High Class vampires. They are the wealthiest of the bunch, most of them could even be considered Royalty. These are the elites of the entire academy. It’s a miracle all their ego’s fit inside the same house.
Traicere holds the most arrogant, popular vampires. They basically run the school.

• Sanguis, House of the Peaceful
Sanguis holds both High Class and Low Class vampires and basically all of the Low Classers that live there, are vegetarians. They are the nice, peaceful ones that get mocked by the Traicere. The point is that Sanguis doesn’t really care about that. They laugh at Traicere and think they’re incredibly posh. Members of Sanguis watch each others back and aren’t afraid to stand up to Traicere – all though they will try to fix everything with words, of course.

• Caedes, House of the Open-Minded
Caedes probably holds the people that don’t really fit in anywhere. It consists almost out of all Low Classers. They’re usually very to themselves and commit to their studies. Popularity doesn’t bother them much and they just don’t like to be labelled. It houses the ones with an open mind and you’ll probably find the rather artistic types over there.

• Mordetis, House of the Brutal
Mordetis holds the rebels, the ones who constantly get into trouble. It’s under strict surveillance and it usually houses the new Low Class students, all though it’s a place where people get thrown in when they constantly pick fights and don’t obey the rules, just because it’s guarded and the school would be able to keep a better eye on them.
Mordetis really don’t care about what happens to them. Most of them are Low Classers brought to the school against their will, not wanting to come here to get trained, but also not wanting to get killed because of resisting.

Full name: Penelope ‘Pippa’ Charlotte Frinton-Smyth.
Age: Seventeen.
Date of birth: A cold 4th of February.
Place of birth: Inside her family estate, on the outskirts of Belfast.
Class: High Class.

Appearance: Adelaide Kane.

Personality: Ah, young lady Pippa, most people think they have her figured out, but there’s so much more to her then what catches the eye. Of course, it’s true that she’s perfectly versed in etiquette, so incredibly courteous that she could charm the pants off most people without them noticing and can easily beat you in a game of wit. Along with her persistent, even stubborn, nature, these are typical Frinton-Smyth family traits and one of the reasons why, even after all those years, their elite name has never fallen from grace.
But like I mentioned before, there’s more to her, a side that only some rare, close friends manage to find hidden beneath the façade she puts up to keep the elite family name in its high position. First of all, to become her friend, is already quite a challenge. Of course, you’ll always see her hanging out with a circle of people, but most of the time, she doesn’t consider these people her friends. Some do consider her a friend, on the other hand, simply because they don’t see past her façade, because they never wonder why they tell her everything about themselves, but they barely know anything about her. She is aloof and closed off because she feels people will let her down anyway, so she just decides not to bother.
Even though she is quite headstrong and usually refuses to listen to others, she seems to be completely obedient when it comes to her family. She knows better than disobeying them, because it will turn out even worse for her in the end. Trust me, she has tried.
Pippa knows exactly what to say, that’s why she’s so courteous, she knows exactly how to charm you and wrap you around her fingers, but at the same time, she also knows the exact right way to hurt you with her words. She’s observant and usually figures out your secrets even before you do it yourself, which is exactly the reason why she can hurt you like no one else can.
Another thing she has been taught as a child is self preservation. This doesn't just mean that's she's very egoistical, although that is kind of true as well, but when you look at her family, you'll notice how much of them are actually still alive after all those years. Two words: self preservation. At the same time she was studying literature and trying out ball gowns she was also studying ancient fighting techniques and battle plans from wars won years ago. This has lead her to think in not only a self preserving way, but also in a calculating way, she's manipulative and has earned herself an A+ in How To Kill, Injure or Seriously Maim Someone and Get Away With No Charges 101.
She still has a little wild streak to her, from the short time she spent with her mother, before her grandmother got to her. It comes out sometimes, in her words or in her actions, and usually after a couple drinks. Even though she might seem prim and proper all the time, she knows how to party when she wants to.
Pippa has problems when it comes to romance and love. She doesn't open up to people easily, and just simply doesn't think it feels right. She's thinking that she might be aromantic, but she's doubting, because she simply never felt a connection to anyone in that way, and doesn't know if that's to blame to her upbringing and trust issues or the other word she prefers not to mention.
Over all, you might think she’s your typical rich girl, but even though she tends to act like it sometimes, there is a colder, more closed off side to her, that rarely comes out, and when it does, you’re either one of her true friends or in deep, deep trouble.

Likes: The smell of books, horseriding, tea, swear words (when she feels the need to), autumn, most winter sports, winter in general, people who get that she doesn't like people and respect that, smoking (again, only when she feels the need to), poetry, chess, fictional characters, cats, early mornings (like the kind where nobody is up yet and she can enjoy nature without human stupidity in it).
Dislikes: Pretty much everything and everyone else. Although she has a very strong dislike for ducks and other feathered animals.
Biography/History:
Tradition and Honor are the pillars that hold the Frinton-Smyth family at their Elite position when it comes to the Upper Class' social circles. From the start of vampirism in general, they've always been there, they might not be considered as 'royalty' - that's something only most council members tend to be considered as - but they sure are part of the 'nobles' when it comes to their society. There are a lot of elder vampires in their family, who, with their 500+ years of experience, feel like they have the right to excercise some sort of control over their descendants. This is exactly the reason why Pippa might strike you as a sort of lady from the Renaissance. She was raised with traditions, ettiquette and yes, even corsets. Everything that would turn her in to a perfect member of their family, just like they were.
At first, when she lived with only her parents, it wasn't so harsh. Her mother had been from a lesser family and she wasn't as strict as her father was, she even had a good effect on him. They were considered the black sheeps in their family even, just because her mother didn't force her to ride sidesaddle on a horse and how to wave her fan in the right way. But that's when her mother had, what the rest of her family calls, a 'tragic death'. Her car went off the road and smashed in to a tree, where a branch found it's way through their window and straight in to her heart. Pippa still believes that somehow, her family had set it all up, that they caused her death.
Her father, as heartbroken as he was, couldn't take care of himself anymore after her death, let alone Pippa, so her grandmother, one of the afore mentioned 500+ years old vampires, took the two of them in. Living with her grandmother was a lot different. Her grandmother told her she wanted to spend as much time as she could with Pippa. The young, influencable girl thought it was just her grandmother wanting to care for her, but she was so wrong. You see, her grandmother saw her as an opportunity, a pretty young face, who she was still able to influence strongly, with a very little wild, insubordinate streak in her, and to top it all off, she also had the right surname. She was bound to be an interesting object for some of her grandmothers renowned friends, she was perfect to be a pawn in their social in political games. She was her grandmothers puppet, always having her strings pulled in the way she wanted them to, never able to do what she wanted, because if she did, consequences followed.
When Pippa enrolled at Impius and was, after a lot of pleading and bribing, placed in to Sanguis House, she felt a renewed sense of freedom. Her family only kept in check of her grades and pay an occasional visit, and she could do what she wanted, wear what she wanted, and be friends with who she wanted, as long as she didn't cause any scandals. Pippa was fine with this, no one knew who she was and she didn't have to worry about playing the political games everyone in Traicere were already starting to play. But of course, all things must come to an end. When in her second year, her family donated a lot of money to add a new wing to the school, her grandmother found out that she still wasn't in to the social scene, and having the influence that she did, she made sure Pippa was transferred to the elite Traicere. Her grandmother threatened her, that if she wasn't going to live up to the family standard and be one of the leaders, she'd train her younger sister to take the position instead. Pippa, who didn't have a close connection with the younger girl, but had been through all her grandmothers manipulating, wouldn't wish that on anyone else, so she did what she said. When people found out who she was, or better, who her family were, they immediately took an interest in her, and she easily climbed her way to the highest social circles of the school. She tries her best to fit in with them, to be play along with all the games and schemes, but if you look really closely, you can always see the empty look in her eyes.

Family:
Like mentioned before, the Frinton-Smyth family has been in a position of power ever since the first vampires walked this earth, and before that, even as humans. They're old money, hell, they even have a castle somewhere in Scotland. They are influencial, well known and known not to be messed with, but unlike other vampire families, they're very conservative, rarely straying from tradition. They have quite a lot of members still alive, so inside the family, most of the elderly ones have the power in their hands. They make sure no one steps out of line and ruins their image, and if they do, they'll take care of that as well.

Amelia Penelope Christina Marie Frinton-Smyth.
The renowned grandmother, even though she still looks about the same age as Pippa, you can feel the aura of wisdom and power coming off from her whenever she walks past you. She can charm you in an even better way then her granddaughter can, but of course, that's simply because she's trained her. She's the one with the masterplan, always searching for more wealth, more power in any way possible. She's obsessed with it.

Ferdinand Joseph Darrius Frinton-Smyth Senior. †
Her grandfather, he died shortly after her father was born, murdered by vampire hunters, or so they say. Her grandmother was a suspect in the murder case for a short period of time, but she somehow had the charges dropped. In his time, he started the gold and jewelry company his son is now chairman of, and what will, if he ever is to die, will be passed on to Pippa.

Ferdinand Joseph Darrius Frinton-Smyth Junior.
Her father, a man who tries to bury his sorrow in to his work. Pippa rarely sees him, because, as he told her when he was drunk one night, she reminds him too much of her mother. He's still heartbroken over his dead wife, but his mother is searching potential matches for him again.

Ariane Alexandra Frinton-Smyth - Ceskov. †
Her mother, the only person who Pippa sees who has ever cared for her, she also sees her as the only person she could ever truly love. Her death still remains a mystery until this day, because it should've been highly possible for her to survive the accident. Pippa has her doubts about if it was an accident too.

Marie-Claire Amelia Frinton-Smyth.
Her younger sister, she doesn't see her very often either, the girl was barely out of her diapers when their mother passed, and she's been spending time with her mother's side of the family ever since. They wanted Pippa as well, but they just couldn't get to her. She sees her once in a while, when she spends time with her grandmother.

Full name: Theodore Emmanuel Chester James Edward Andreas Emerson-Whitely. That's quite a sum-up, isn't it? Well, Theo hates it. He utterly hates the name his parents gave him, so the name he introduces himself with - as if that is even necessary with his kind of reputation, I mean, everybody knows him - and everybody knows him by is Theo Emerson.
Age: Seventeen.
Date of birth: 3rd February.
Place of birth: The City of New York, State of New York, The United States of America. He still resides there as well.
Class: High Class.

Appearance: The first thing you'll notice about Theo is this aura of arrogance and misschievous power he breathes. You can see it, you can feel it, you can almost smell it whenever he enters the room. The overall nonchalance that lingers all over him - including the way he dresses - might be described as shabby. If it had been over any other person but Theo Emerson. It's hard to explain. The intimidating arrogance doesn't limit itself inside the borders of his face - the green-blue eyes with the mocking glare, the sarcastic smile that makes the corners of his mouth slightly go upwards. It's what people try to ignore about him, what they try to hide themselves from. It's impossible to guess what he's thinking off - he just can't be read - and that might scare off some people. They could be trapped within a glance.
Theo has quite short hair, which is rather tousled than curly. It has a light brown colour, seemingly more blonde in the summer. He is about six foot two tall and built athletically - obviously not the kind of guy that's made out of bricks and cement and is literally a wall. He's strong, but he relies more on skill and speed. Because of this, his reflexes are insanely fast - I mean, even faster than vampires normally have. If that's even possible. Winning physical fights with Theo is hard.
Personality:

• Sadistic
  Like the word says: Theo likes to make people suffer. He strayed from 'the right path', meaning... well, Theo isn't that much into drinking refrigerator-blood. It's just not that appealing to him. Instead of that, he does the unthinkable thing for modern vampires: whenever he gets the chance, he hunts people down and kills them. Not quickly and neatly, like he did in the beginning: simply to satisfy his lust for blood. Oh, it became so much more than that. It wasn't just the lust for blood that satisfied him and the more he got the chance to actually sink his fangs into the soft flesh of a person's bare neck, the more it started to bore him. So he found different ways and started to scare people, chase them, hunt them down, before he actually killed them, because their oh so human fear was incredibly amusing to watch. Theo, of course, has been going to Impius Academy since he was fourteen. He managed to live a year with hunting for people without getting busted. Then he got caught and they would've killed him if his sister in the High Council hadn't been so stupid to still care for him - "He's my brother, I know he can change" - and urge the Council to let him live. Like he wasn't important nough. Like he wasn't dangerous enough. Theo was by far not pleased with this and a horrible, insane rage started boiling inside of him. Of course he didn't just simply take the warning and he just kept on doing what he was used to do. That was when they placed him under strict surveillance. He could barely go outside, but he noticed the fear for him that had settled in his parents' brain, so now things are a little different. The surveillance he was assigned always seems to look the wrong way whenever something happens, seem to be blind for anything Theo does right under their noses. And of course it isn't a coincidence. Even the teachers are scared of him.
  
• Arrogant and sarcastic
  Some people bump into Theo and he spits out a nasty comment and you may think: "Wow, what a cocky boy that is." But Theo isn't just cocky. He practically reigns over the Academy as a king, just like how an evil ruler keeps a country in his grasp. Theo's arrogance goes further than his habit of speech and actions. Most people have just already acknowledged that he is better than the lot of them. He is the kind of guy that has a lot of admirers because of this certain 'power', but of course a lot of people who fear him too. He knows this, and he uses it in his advantage, like if you had expected any different. He's used to making a lot of sarcastic replies and often thinks of himself as hilarious - something he can actually be at times. But of course it's a rather dark sense of humour, Theo possesses. He laughs with the humilation of other people and their flaws, and usually, there isn't a single soul who dares to say anything against what he has to say

• Intelligent
  It is no great secret that Theo is incredulously intelligent. He is cunning and strategic and can see through almost everything and everyone. If he can't, he gets annoyed and frustrated, causing him to get angry, which isn't something most people would describe as enjoyable.
  Theo often has that mischievous shimmer in his eyes that scares most people off. You think he's up to something and maybe he is. But most of the time he isn't. Theo isn't the most obvious person to read. If he can be read at all in the first place.
  Of course he isn't the person to bother very much about grades and scoring high marks; not at all, actually. He hardly pays any attention in class and when he does speak up to a teacher, it's usually to embarrass him, which is awfully amusing for Theo.
  
• Bold and challenging
  Theo is more than often an impertinent sort of guy. He says whatever he wants to say and can't handle it when someone even dares to talk back at him in just as rude of a tone as he just talked to you. His eyes will narrow and you better get out of there before he herts your petty little feelings. He doesn't really care if he does anyway, and he literally feels nothing when he hurts someone. Of course there isn't much Theo actually truthfully cares about, which makes it all the more amusing for him to act like this. Theo's someone who tries to lure you out of your safe spot by talking rudely and insultingly to you. He does it subtly, though. With little remarks about what you look like, where you come from, what he doesn't like about you, et cetera. Very matter of factly, he will speak, but once you start getting angry, there's no mistaking that little, amusing grin on his lips.
  
• Intimidating
  Theo, of course, has quite a reptutation at school and has reach one that doesn't even inquire him to speak to a person to scare him off. As he's usually surrounded by High Class vampire friends - all from the Traicere house, of course - most people don't really dare to go and have a chat with him, nevermind they would even want to talk to him. As said before, he has a very specific aura. It just kind of scares people off. And then there is of course that unreadable thing about him, which just confuses you. Theo doesn't need to tell you verbally to back off. You'll want to back off before he even narrows his eyes.
  
• Reckless but calculated
  Theo can come off as a sort of impulsive guy, while he actually is very calculated. He observes, and his mind starts forming a plan. Yes, he might be described as reckless, but he won't be getting into something risky head over heels. Be assured he has a plan ready.
  As a person who usually thinks on his feet, it's more than normal for Theo to act his way. Observing and forming a plan is done in only a matter of seconds with him and he rarely makes a mistake. When he does, he'll probably shove the blame on someone else's head.
  
• Very persuasive and compelling
  You might notice that the threats Theo gives you, usually seem like a very good idea, as if he's persuasing you to break your own neck and it seems like a merry thought, something you would love to try right away. This isn't just the talent of speech Theo was given, no. He Compells people, something that is very much frowned upon in the Vampire Community. He doesn't really show off with this, though. Like all things Theo does, and all things he says: he acts subtly. He won't force something major at a person at once, he'll do it in bits and pieces, using his skill because he can, until he gets when he wants.
  
• Complex and maybe a little crazy
  Theo has a lot of different layers and when you think you have figured him out, he'll do something that will surprise you and you can go back to your wondering about this strange teenager. What is his motive? He must have some reason to act like he does? That is exactly the point: there is no reason. None at all. Some people might call him a sociopath and maybe he is. Theo doesn't really understand himself, but what he does know, is that he isn't some misunderstood bad guy who does the things he does just to get some attention, for people to like him and understand him - okay, yeah, he loves the attention, but that's not the point - he doesn't cry over his petty little problems, just because: he doesn't care. Theo is perfectly aware of who he is and what he does and is totally fine with it. And that might be a little crazy.

Theo's family descents directly from the first, original vampires and are thus one long, straight line of High Class vampires. Most people in his family grew up to be great, very well known vampires. Theo's close family, well, they are everything you could expect a wealthy, stuck-up vampire family to be: not like a family at all. They desperately try to hide beneath the lies that cover the scandalous rumours. Most of all, they try not to get cut off from what they love most: their money.

  Elizabeth is seventy-nine, but like all born vampires stopped aging at eighteen. Theo and his mother don't exactly have a great relationship.

  Eline, or as she is called by the family, Little Ellie is twelve and has no clue about the horrible things her brother has done. She adores Theo, and he secretely really likes his little sister as well.

  Anna is sixty - also has the looks of an eighteen year-old. She usually looks down on the entire family. Theo for being so reckless, Sal for being an idiot that follows their father and just wants attention, their parents because they didn't raise Theo as they should have. She blames them for the suffering her brother actually brought on the family. He really doesn't care about her opinion. Anna kind of left the family and went to live with her husband in Washington. She's part of the Council - which is why Theo doesn't think of her as his sister anymore. She doesn't really have an opinion about Ellie, but she barely knows the kid.
  
• Brother: Salvatore Edward Jeffrey Daniel Thomas Ethan Emerson-Whitely
  Sal is thirty years old and is a bit of a loner. Very much like Theo, he never got much personal attention from their parents. Unlike Theo, he didn't went and go murder people for kicks. He tried to get attention in any other way possible - but Sal isn't smart. He's the perfect döppleganger of Chester, because it's all he's able to do.

Full name: Éléonore Valentine Victoire Saint-Laurent. Although she's proud of  the name her parents gave her, she prefers to be called Val and that is also the name she uses when she introduces herself. That doesn't necessarily mean everyone calls her that; her friends gave her a nickname: Little Rebel.
Age: Sixteen, her birthday is still to come.
Date of birth: Fourteenth of November.
Place of birth: Paris, Île-de-France, France.
Class: High class.   

Appearance: [Cora Keegan] Éléonore possesses a rare, nonchalant yet elegant at the same time kind of beauty. She's beautiful without putting any effort into it. Her mother calls her beauty a gift from nature, but Val thinks that's bullshit. "It's a curse from Satan," she always says when somebody brings it up. And she means it. According to her mother beauty is power, but Val couldn't disagree more. Knowledge is power, not beauty. "Beauty is an illusion". She also believes that you can get used to beauty after a while. A person you find attractive at first, won't look the same when you see that person every day. Their beauty will fade, even when they are immortal and will never age or die. And when their beauty fades, so will their power. Yet beauty isn't always a curse. It's also good for certain good things, for instance she can get alcohol, even though she isn't 21 yet. And it's always good if you want to get laid.
Val has medium long, straight, platinum blond hair. The hairstyles she likes best are the messy bun and the wavy hairstyle parted in the middle of her head. She also likes to do crazy things with it, like using hairchalk or putting in extensions, but never too crazy, though. She likes to keep it casual.
In terms of make up, Val uses quite dark colours. You'll rarely ever she her without a winged eye or without a dark red/purplish lipstick. She lives for those things. Because she has a flawless and light skin, she doesn't need foundation. She does use blush and bronzer to colour her cheeks a little bit and to accentuate her cheekbones.
Val is a rather small girl, so she always wears heels to look a little larger and so the large guys in her group of friends wouldn't intimidate her. She's best known for her dark, edgy clothing style. Val loves the colours black, red and purple and those are pretty much the only colours you can find in her closet.
She likes to personalize her school uniform with knee socks, leather jackets, jeans jackets, jewellery, band shirts and tights. She also shortened her skirt, so it reaches a few centimeters above her knee.
Personality: Val is the perfect example of the saying "Good girl gone bad." She used to be everything a girl can dream of: smart, beautiful, friendly, loved, yet that all changed. Now she doesn't really care about anything. She smokes 24/7, does drugs daily and has a secret lair on the school grounds where she hid a stock of whiskey and rum bottles. She never really got caught for anything because she's very inventing and intelligent. Val knows it as well, what makes her pretty confident. And she is really. You can see it in the way she smiles and the way she talks and the way she walks. But it's not an annoying kind of confidence, like with Theo. It's rather admiring.
Val's got this aura of nonchalance, confidence and elegance hanging around her, what may sound a little bit weird. She's rather careless with responsibilities and school work, yet she always hands something in and most of the time it's genius. She's a very poetic, deep kind of girl, always lost is her own thought and she surprises you sometimes with the weirdest things. She's the kind of girl that emerges at your front door in the middle of the night, asking you to take her somewhere.
Sometimes Val is a little too enthusiastic about stuff and she just jumps up and down. She's also the kind of girl who just let's go of everything when she hears the music she loves. Then she starts singing of key and dancing on tables and swinging her hair around. She definitely a party girl. She loves to go out and to drink and to have fun.
Yet all these positive characterestics will disappear when you fuck with her or her friends. Than she'll put on her bitch attitude and destroy your life. She has a strong opinion and isn't afraid of saying what she thinks, even if what she's saying may hurt people. If it's the truth than it has to be spoken out loud.
When she's sad or angry it's best to stay away from Val. She can get pretty annoyed and mean, even. She's fairly quick flammable and even though she's small and tiny, she can be intimidating.

Biography/History: As second child of a wealthy, Elite positioned family Val had it all: the fancy clothes, the popular friends and the big mansions. She even had the love of her busy parents, because she used to be the perfect daughter: smart, beautiful, friendly, obedient and social. But that changed after Val's younger sister, Marie-Thérèse, became an even better daughter, at least according to her father, and the sisters started to battle for their father’s attention. Marie won in the end, leaving a heartbroken and angry sister behind. Val started to do everything different to gain her father's attention: she wore different clothes, listened to different music, dumped her old friends and got new, more dangerous ones. When Val realized her father only became more disappointed in her than he already was, she stopped doing it. She went back to being her beautiful, perfect self. But the spark was gone. At parties Val wasn't the brightest light any more, it was Marie-Thérèse and her father didn't ask her if she wanted to go horse riding at the weekends any more; he asked Marie, even though she was too young to ride on a horse. Val realized that she kind of missed the different, alternative life style she had had, and threw all her pink, fluffy stuff out. She painted the walls in her room a darkish purple and bought posters of punk bands to hang on them; she threw away all the expensive dresses and shoes her mother had given her through the years, and bought new, black and a little bit provocative clothes in leather and with studs.
Now Val doesn't care about anything, except her siblings, any more. She sticks to her alternative, rebellious way of living and is happy with it.
Family: Val has a rather good relationship with her siblings, but her parents are a different story. They once said that they would let her be herself if she in return did what was expected of her, like attending important parties and staying home when they have visitors, but that agreement has long been abandoned. Of each family member is expected they  do their part in the continuance of the Saint-Laurent legacy by marrying other High class families or becoming an important member of the vampire community.
Even though Val hates her parents, she's very protective about her siblings. She will always defend them for whatever crime they have committed.

• Mother: Cécilia Adèle Juliette Delacroix-Saint-Laurent.
  

        Val's relationship with her mother is fine to say at best. They have a very complicated relationship. Her mother expects a lot from Val because she has to be an example for her younger sisters. She keeps hoping Val will marry a rich, High class vampire who could clear the Delacroix-Saint-Laurent name for once and for all. Val ignores all her mothers pleas, though. Because the family hasn't got an heir to carry on the family legacy, Cécilia is pregnant again with her seventh child. [Amber Heard]

        Val hardly ever speaks to her father. They used to have the whole 'us against the world' relationship but after Marie-Thérèse was born and became daddy's little girl, Val started to drift away from her father. It was around that time she started to rebel against her parents and chose a new life.          Val's relationship with her grandmother used to be as good as her relationship with her oldest brother is now, but things got heated up when Val found out her grandmother had been arranging a marriage between her and the oldest son of a wealthy family. Since that day she doesn't trust her grandmother any more and tries to avoid the woman as much as possible, which is hard sometimes because lady Delacroix lives under the same roof as Val.         Her brother Louis-Henri is definitely the person she is closest with. They could be twins, if you forgot the age difference of twenty-one years. And if you forgot the fact that Louis-Henri is gay. When he first came out in front of his parents it would be an understatement to say they were shocked. Charles even threatened to throw him out of the house, but Cécilia, Geneviève and Val were able to speak some sense into him.  It was very awkward at first and even now, five years little the tension is still there when Louis-Henri brings his boyfriend home.         Marie-Thérèse is only one year younger than Val, but it seems like she is five years younger. Marie-Thérèse is the perfect example of daddy's little princess. She says yes to everything, is always silent during dinner and makes a bow whenever she sees her superiors.  That is exactly the reason why Val hates her oldest sister. [Elle Fanning]

• Twin sisters: Céleste Élodie Inès Saint-Laurent & Alexandrie "Alix" Juliette Geneviève Saint-Laurent.
  

        The twins Céleste and Alix are the reasons Val loves children. They are nine and the cutest little vampires Val has ever seen. They love her as much as she loves them and whenever she's home during the breaks she takes them to the movies and buys them all the things they want.

• Brother: Rémy Jérôme Nicolas Saint-Laurent.
  

        Nobody knows about Val's youngest brother Rémy, because her family keeps him locked in their mansion. And that's not because they hate him, but because he suffers from Down's syndrome. In the human world this is something that occurs quite frequently, but in the vampire world this is very rare. Cécilia and Charles have no idea how it is possible that their son isn't as 'perfect' as the others, and because they are ashamed of it, they keep him locked in their mansion. The only person outside the family who knows about Rémy is the nurse they employed after Rémy was born. Val thinks it's horrible Rémy has to be locked away his whole life, but her mother forbade her to ever speak about it to anyone or she would be disowned. Every time Val's home, she plays games with Rémy, and Céleste and Alix, who both love Rémy a lot as well, always join her.

• Best friend: Esda "S" Seychelle Sarafian. 

        Val and Esda, whom Val just calls S, have been friends for ages. Esda's family is from the lower High Class, but that doesn't bother Val. They like to call each other "sisters from another mister", because they are so alike in everything they do. Esda is in the same house as Val, she has the same taste in clothes, music and boys and whenever they plan a prank or want to skip class, they do it together. They are the bitches of Impius Academy and they love it. [Suki Alice]

        Asami is a member of one of the highest High Class family: the Jís. They are immediate descendants of the Zhou dynasty house and of King Wu and thus are very important for the vampire community. She's assigned to the Traicere House and most of her friends and her boyfriend are Traicerers as well, but she loves hanging out with rebels like Esda and Val. She's also quite handy, because she always gives Esda and Val invitations for fancy Elite parties, which they love to attend because there are always lots of handsome, single men. [Liu Wen]

        Although Val and Rickey have been dating for nearly two years, they aren't the most faithful couple. They regularly cheat on each other, then have a great fight in front of the whole school, break up for a few weeks and get back together. • Enemy/crush: Theodore Emmanuel Chester James Edward Andreas Emerson-Whitely.

        Val and Theo hooked up once and ever since their relationship has been pretty complicated. For Val at least. She likes him more than she wants herself to like him and she hates him for the fact that he's not into her. And the strange thing is that she doesn't even know why she likes him. He's handsome, yet not too handsome and in terms of personality isn't he really her type. She tells herself it's because he's dangerous and she always had this reckless side, but in fact she doesn't know why. Nobody knows about her crush on him either. Her friends know that they hooked up, though, but that's it. They think she hates him, which he does, of course. She thinks he's an annoying, arrogant piece of shit. But she's also extremely attracted to him.

• Enemy/ex-best friend: Penelope ‘Pippa’ Charlotte Frinton-Smyth.

        Val and Pippa used to be best friends back in the time Val was still the 'perfect daughter', due to the fact that they had almost the same lives. Pippa's family may have been more wealthy than Val's but they had the same responsibilities, the same kind of pushy grandmother and the same future. There came an end to their friendship, though, when Val started changing. As said before she dumped all of her old friends, including Pippa, who was not pleased with this. When Val found out her changing had not increased her fathers returning love for her, but even reduced, she took her old life back and wanted Pippa back in that life. They had a major fight about it and ever since that day Val can't stand her ex-best friend anymore.
